Jonathan Palmer was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005 with a B.A. in studio art with a concentration in photography. He has traveled to Africa to document a UK medical student raising awareness of AIDS, interned at the Lexington Herald-Leader newspaper, photographed two Kentucky Derby's, and has shot weddings for more than four years. He lives in Decatur, Alabama with his wife Danielle and works as a photojournalist for a newspaper.
