2009 Fancy Farm Picnic
The 129th Fancy Farm Picnic was held Saturday, Aug 1, 2009. I was dispatched from Louisville to cover the event for the Herald-Leader. The speeches were pretty mediocre except for the exchange between Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo, and Attorney General Jack Conway. Both men are potential candidates for the 2010 Senate race.
Cumberland Cruise
Lou and I went up the Cumberland and checked out the fishing with two generators running at Wolf Creek Dam. Fishing was lousy in the morning but picked up in the afternoon.

Ida Palmer-Ball is a Waldorf pedagogue. She practices a method of teaching developed by Rudolf Steiner. The method promotes interdisciplinary learning utilizing aspects of art, and other conceptual themes. Palmer-Ball teaches at Good Shepherd School in Frankfort.
