My colleague David Coyle recently acquired a Canon Mark IV. He has been shooting mostly strobed action at UK men’s and women’s basketball games in Lexington. This past Saturday he went to the Lancaster Aquatic center for the UK senior day swim meet. After processing the images he, as I, was amazed at the number of quality images made in such a short time. Also the number of images in a sequence are consistently sharper than those made with earlier models. Not to mention the ability to shoot at 4000 ISO and, getting files you would be proud to take home to mother, is the icing on the cake. This beast is the total package. I haven’t shot any video with it yet but having a camera that as Coyle says, “just works” is a relief. Below are a few samples of his best images.
